The active ingredient in Clarimax is clarithromycin which is a macrolide antibiotic.
Clarithromycin is a derivative of erythromycin with slightly greater activity than erythromycin.
It causes fewer gastrointestinal side effects than erythromycin.
Clarimax is available as 250mg Tablets (These tablets are scored and can be broken if needed)

Clarimax can be used to treat the following conditions
- Mild to Moderate Skin and Soft tissue infections
- Respiratory Tract Infections
- Otitis Media
- Helicobacter Pylori
Adults: 250mg every 12 hours for 7 days. Increased in severe infections to 500mg every 12 hours for up to 14 days, or as directed by the physician
Children: Body weight under 8kg – 7.5mg/kg twice daily.
8-11kg – 62.5mg (1/2 teaspoonful) twice daily.
12-19kg – 125mg (1 teaspoonful) twice daily.
20-29kg – 187.5mg (1 1/2 teaspoonfuls) twice daily.
30-40kg – 250mg (2 teaspoonfuls) twice daily, or as directed by the physician
