Ketotifen Syrup
Prev-Ast contains Ketotifen Fumarate 1mg/5ml.
Prev-Ast is a non-bronchodilator anti-allergic (antihistamine) drug, that can be used for minimizing Asthma attacks in the long-term use. Hence it is categorized as an "anti-asthmatic" drug.
Prev-Ast is a colorless liquid syrup with an Orange flavor, and its Free from both Alcohol and Sugar.

Asthma is a long-term disease of the lungs. It is also called as a chronic respiratory disease. It causes the airways to get inflamed and narrow, and makes breathing difficult.
Classic examples of Asthma are:
- Coughing
- Wheezing
- Shortness of breath
- Chest tightness
Severe asthma can make it hard to talk or be active.

Prophylactic treatment of asthma and relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
Adults: 5ml (1mg) twice daily with food, increased if necessary, to 10ml (2mg) twice daily.
Initial treatment in readily sedated patients, 2.5 - 5.0ml (0.5-1mg) at night.
Children: 3 years and over, 5ml (1mg) twice daily.
