Framycetin Sulphate Skin Cream 1%

Each gram of Framcin cream contains Framycetin Sulphate 1% w/w.

Framycetin cream is an antibiotic cream for the treatment of skin infections and burns. It is active against a wide range of gram positive and gram-negative organisms.

Indicated for cuts, wounds, burns, scalds, ulcers, boils, impetigo, furunculosis, sycosis barbae, otitis externa and paronychia. It can also be used to treat secondary infections such as lice and scabies.

Side Effects

Skin irritation, inflammation & dry skin.

Warning

Continue using the cream until the prescribed dose is complete, even if symptoms have disappeared, as abruptly stopping the treatment can allow the infection to return and the bacteria to become immune to the antibiotic.

Prior to applying the medication, wash and dry your hands and the affected area. Apply a thin layer to the affected area and gently massage into the affected skin with a sterile gauze.

In skin infections, wash the lesions with saline to remove scales and crusts then apply the cream with a sterile dressing. Apply 1 to 3 times daily.
