Chlorpheniramine Maleate Syrup
The active ingredient of Allermine Syrup is Chlopheniramine maleate USP 2mg/ 5ml.
Chlorpheniramine maleate is α H1 receptor antagonist (antihistamine) and is used primarily for symptomatic relief of hypersensitive reactions such as urticaria, angioedema, rhinitis, conjunctivitis and also to control pruritus associated with skin disorders.
Chlorpheniramine maleate provides rapid onset of action and relief of symptoms that lasts 4 to 6 hours.
Allermine Syrup is alcohol free and a Blueberry flavored syrup.

Allermine is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of allergic conditions responsive to antihistamines. The indications include;
- Hay fever and nasal allergies
- Food and drug allergy
- Vasomotor rhinitis
- Pruritus
- Urticaria
- Insect bites
- Angioneurotic oedema
- Allergic conjunctivitis
Adults and children 12 years and above:
Syrup - Two teaspoonful (10ml) 4 to 6 times a day.
Tablet – 4mg every 4-6 hours
Children under 12 years:
Below 2 years
½ teaspoonful (2.5ml) twice daily or on advice of a physician
2 years up to 6 years
½ teaspoonful (2.5ml) 4 to 6 times daily / 1mg every 4-6 hours
6 years up to 12 years
1 teaspoonful (5ml) 4 to 6 times daily / 2mg every 4-6 hours
